Master's level distance learning modules (originally developed for the degree of MSc in System Level Integration) may be taken on a standalone, continuing professional development basis by design engineers seeking to improve their skills and experience.
Modules are web-based, with each course organised into a number of study units. A study unit typically features the main learning text, questions and answers and practical exercises. In addition, each course features tutor marked assignments and a final written assessment.
Students are given up to 13 months to complete a single module, and a certificate of completion is provided at the end of each module.
Distance learning MSc-level modules are provided on a professional development basis only; applications are no longer accepted for the degree of MSc in System Level Integration. While it may be possible for successfully completed modules to be used in support of an application for entry to a programme at another institution via accreditation of prior learning, it should be noted that individual arrangements will vary between institutions.
